Joe Thomas & Jenna charity event

In 2022 I was a very busy hard working man lifting heavy stuff like worktops and long lenghts of wood and basically pushing my body to beyond what I knew was my limits ! After a few times of feeling dizzy with chest pains my wife noticed a difference in me one morning and unbeknown to me rang an ambulance . I eventually ended up going for a scan and within no time was facing the scariest part of my life when I was told by a consultant “ your life is hanging on a thread “ a day later I had the life saving triple heart bypass !I ended up in a ward in Castle Hill hospital where I had been lucky for them to have saved my life after apparently having “5” heart attacks ! In my recovery I was so grateful that the nurses in the ward there took the time and care beyond brilliant to guide me back to some kind of health . I always wanted to pay them back so now is my chance to, I’m so grateful for the surgeons work and the nursing staff in wards 28 and 29 ,they have made sure that my wife , children and grandchildren can now spend time what definitely wouldn’t have been mine (if not for the surgeons ) with me . This is the first time I’ve written anything like this down and it makes me realise how close to death I was ! Reading texts like “ anyone else but not you dad ! And I don’t know what I’ll do without you ! made me appreciate even more what a miracle worker Mr Ngagi is !( the surgeon ) he’s a genius ! So as I started to think about putting something together to raise some money for the Heart unit, Jenna Morris , after a family member of hers had treatment in the same place was quick to offer help with organising a gig . Both Jenna and myself have not been on the gigging scene for quite some time , but are taking time to rehearse and have put a duo together just for this event which will be held at the Stage Door in Jameson street above the comedy lounge . We would be so grateful if All of our friends and followers would support us with this night which promises to be a gig full of our best performed songs! Jenna is a top vocalist and will blow your mind with some of the music we have created together !
